Is Social Media Ruining Our Minds?

I have two teenage sons. For some time my wife and I have had conversations about their use of social media, and media, in general. We’ve heard the stories of what today’s generation is experiencing when it comes to their media intake, and what it may or may not be doing to their minds.

So yesterday I came across this very interesting infographic at Assisted Living Today website (no, I don’t normally follow this website…I came across it through a rabbit trail of links

). I’m not sure what conclusions I’ve made about it yet, or what it means to how we do or don’t do ministry to children. I’m especially intrigued by the symptoms shown by young people who were asked to give up social media for 24 hours (see about 2/3 down the graphic).  But it’s all very interesting.

So I thought I’d share it & ask YOU the simple question: what are some questions this should cause us to ask, or some conclusions we might come to, regarding the way we lead effectively in children’s ministry?
