Indianapolis Pastor Speaks Out for the First Time About Pregnant Wife’s Murder

Indianapolis Pastor Davey Blackburn came home from the gym and was met with unimaginable tragedy. His pregnant wife had been shot in the head during a home invasion.

Amanda, the 28-year-old mother of a 1-year-old son (and baby on the way) was rushed to the hospital after being found “unresponsive and suffering from apparent signs of trauma” by first responders last Tuesday. Sadly, she passed away in the hospital in critical condition.

Thousands of people came out for Amanda’s memorial service over the weekend to celebrate her life and faith.

In this candid interview with GMA, Davey shares the legacy Amanda left behind, “She just absolutely gave everything she had to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.” Davey also shared some special notes from Amanda’s journal that are encouraging the family to carry on–in the strength and the power of Christ.

Please continue to pray for the Blackburn family and for the killer to be found.
