Craig Groeschel’s LifeChurch.tv in Edmond, Oklahoma announced last week that more than 10 million users had downloaded its free Bible application, YouVersion. In addition, users have spent more than 3.5 billion minutes reading the Bible using the application. According to CNN’s BeliefBlog, Bobby Gruenewald called it a “revolution,” saying the mission of the application is to make God’s word more accessible. “We really believe if God’s words can be part of our everyday life…that in itself will transform lives.” Gruenewald also said other enhancements were coming for the mobile app, including the ability to journal and highlight favorite passages. The application is available for Apple, Android, Blackberry and Palm platforms.
