Chan: "My Life Didn't Fit the Bible"

According to an article in The Christian Post, Francis Chan talked at length at the Passion conference about what he has learned and experienced while living in Asia. He says his decision to leave was based on a perception that his life “no longer fit the Bible,” especially with respect to his notoriety in the American Church. Chan said the persecuted Christians in Asia truly believe it is “normal” to suffer on Christ’s behalf, and their lives display the joy that results from being saved from hell. Chan prayed for conference attenders: “God, can you just raise us all up? Make us a whole generation that sees the foolishness in a consumer-driven church.” He also encouraged listeners to evaluate their lives as to whether they match the Bible as they claim. “I’m not asking you to be radical,” Chan said. “I am not asking you to be extreme. I’m  just asking you to make your life make sense.”
