Free Live Webcast Gives Thousands Access to Discipleship Conversation at Exponential 2013

Fueled by a goal to see numerous church leaders, small groups, church planting launch teams, individuals and even full churches participating in the discipleship conversation, Exponential has announced plans for a high-quality live webcast from the upcoming Exponential 2013: DiscipleShift conference in Orlando (April 22-25) — free to anyone who registers.

This year’s conference focuses on discipleship, specifically five key shifts we can make to become better at making and releasing disciples.

Featuring more than 25 national leaders in 10 main sessions, the live webcast will include 10-plus hours of nearly continuous programming, streamed live over three days from Tuesday, April 23, to Thursday, April 25.

Collectively, webcast viewers will hear from Francis Chan, Rick Warren, Craig Groeschel, Wayne Cordeiro, Larry Osborne, Alan and Deb Hirsch, Mike Breen, John Burke, Jo Saxton, Chris Hodges, Randy Frazee, Jen Hatmaker, Dave Ferguson, Andy Hawthorne, Ed Stetzer, Robert Coleman, Kim Hammond, Lance Ford, Hugh Halter, Jeff Vanderstelt, Brandon Hatmaker, Caesar Kalinowski and Neil Cole.

“This webcast offers leaders who can’t make it to Orlando, or are leaving a spouse or team members at home a solid solution for encouraging and equipping them through what we believe will be game-changing conversations for the church,” says Exponential leader Todd Wilson. “It’s the second best thing to being on site.”

While the conference in Orlando is sold out with 5,000 registered to attend, church leaders can still host the Exponential 2013 webcast for their launch team, small group leaders, staff and network, as well as encourage small groups to participate.

“Jesus gave the Great Commission to everyone,” says Exponential Director Geoff Surratt. “These early registration numbers indicate that churches see this webcast as an important equipping tool to challenge and inspire everyone in the church.”

Exponential believes the live webcast has the potential to draw a global audience of more than 30,000 viewers. Registrations have consistently come in from teams throughout the globe. In Africa, a team of 50 people in the port city of Lagos, Nigeria, will participate in the discipleship conversation. In the agricultural city of Chihuahua, Mexico, a team of 20 has registered, as well as a group of eight in the capital city of Kingstown, Grendadines, in the Eastern Caribbean. And in Western Europe, a group in Genoa, Italy, will hear the same speakers and discussion as a team of 30 In Fabens, Texas.

“New technology is going to help take powerful ideas that are changing the game in the United States and make them accessible across the globe,” says author Alan Hirsch, a thought leader and key mission strategist for churches across the Western world. “It’s all about movement.”
