The trial has begun for Emanuel Samson, who in 2017 shot and killed one woman and wounded seven others at Burnette Chapel Church of Christ in Nashville, Tennessee. Prosecutors are arguing that Samson was racially motivated, while his defense maintains he was mentally ill.
