Psalms for Kids: 10 Scriptures for Sunday School Lessons

6. Psalm 100

When kids read this psalm, they know they can praise God for His goodness, faithfulness, and protection. (Here’s a fun game to help kids “shout for joy to the Lord!”)

7. Psalm 121

When kids need help, this Bible chapter teaches them to ask the Lord.

8. Psalm 136

As a psalm of thanksgiving, this chapter contains the repetitive phrase “His love endures forever.” Psalm 136 is an easy one to teach young children. Simply invite them to say the refrain with you as you read the psalm aloud.

9. Psalm 139

This is a classic in children’s ministry. But when was the last time you read through the whole thing (not just the part about “knit you together in your mother’s womb”)? Psalm 139 teaches kids that God made them unique and knows them uniquely. Psalm 139:23-24 is a wonderful prayer to teach kids.

10. Psalm 150

What a spectacular psalm of praise! Worship can take on many forms, and this psalm lets kids know it’s okay to be loud and joyful in our praise to God.
