Bible Snacks: 18 Yummy, Memorable Snacks for Sunday School Classes

7. Amazing Animals

Ingredients:

  • Chocolate pudding,
  • small paper cups,
  • chocolate cookies,
  • resealable plastic bags,
  • plastic spoons,
  • and gummy animals or animal crackers.

Have kids each fill a small paper cup ¾ full with chocolate pudding. Then give each child one chocolate cookie. Have kids crush the chocolate cookies inside the resealable plastic bags. Then, use the chocolate cookie crumbs to create a “dirt” layer on top of the pudding layer. Insert gummy animals or animal crackers in the “dirt.”

Alternative: Fill celery sticks with peanut butter or cream cheese. Top the celery sticks with animal crackers for yummy Bible snacks.

8. Cracker Kids

Ingredients:

  • Round crackers,
  • Cheez Whiz processed cheese spread,
  • pretzel sticks,
  • and paper plates.

First, have kids cover one side of a round cracker using the Cheez Whiz processed cheese spread. Then place another cracker on top of the first. Next, kids can stick pretzels between the crackers for arms and legs. Finish the treats by drawing a face on the top cracker using Cheez Whiz processed cheese spread.

9. Broccoli Forest

Ingredients:

  • Uncooked broccoli florets,
  • cream cheese or vegetable dip,
  • paper plates,
  • and plastic spoons.

Have kids place a mound of cream cheese or vegetable dip in the center of a plate. Then give kids broccoli florets to stick into the dip or cream cheese to create forests.

10. Sweet Angels

Ingredients:

  • Refrigerated sugar cookie dough roll,
  • a knife,
  • cookie sheets,
  • access to an oven,
  • a spatula,
  • cooling racks,
  • oven mitts,
  • and nonstick spray.

Cut a ¼-inch slice of refrigerated sugar cookie dough for each child. Then have kids cut their dough circles into triangles with rounded bottoms for the angels’ bodies. Use the two remaining semicircles to create wings. Lastly, to create the angels’ heads, give each child a pinch of dough to roll into a ball and flatten.

Have kids arrange their dough in angel formations on cookie sheets. Then bake these Bible snacks according to the package directions.

11. Celery Chariots

Ingredients:

  • Sliced carrots,
  • celery sticks,
  • cream cheese,
  • Keebler E.L. Fudge sandwich cookies,
  • toothpicks,
  • plastic knives,
  • and paper plates.

First, attach carrot slice “wheels” to the sides of a celery stick using toothpicks. Then fill the celery with cream cheese. Finish by placing an E.L. Fudge cookie into each celery “chariot.”

12. Prayer Necklaces

Ingredients:

  • Froot Loops cereal
  • and red licorice whips.

First, have kids string Froot Loops cereal on red licorice whips. Then have kids tie the ends of the licorice whips together, and then put on the prayer necklaces. Encourage kids to eat a piece of cereal as each prayer request or praise is shared during class prayer time, or encourage kids to take home their prayer necklaces and pray at home.
