3 Technology Trends That Will Change Children's Ministry

Technology continues to reshape education systems around the world.  The changes will eventually reach Christian education, as well.  The church normally lags behind a few years.  Often this is due to resistance to change or insufficient resources needed to expedite the changes.

That being said, here are 3 changes that are taking place in the education realm.  Get ready Children’s Ministries … it’s coming your way too.

COMPUTER GAME-BASED LEARNING

As game-based learning becomes more accepted and effective, teachers will use it more often in classrooms.  Churches will eventually use computer games and apps as a method to teach Bible stories and truths.

E-BOOKS

Schools will continue to move away from print books and embrace e-books.  Kids will bring the Bible to church on their mobile device instead carrying it in print form.

BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE

The “bring your own device” movement will gain popularity as schools realize they can save big bucks by allowing students to use their personal devices in the classroom.  Kids will explore Bible lessons and truths on their devices as teachers facilitate.
