5. Believing in Jesus so we can go to heaven is the most important thing.
Matthew 10:28 And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
This is a great opportunity to teach about martyrs of the faith. Let children know that these martyrs understood that serving God and going to heaven is even more important than living. Because that’s true, we should spend our entire lives following and serving God.
6. We need to share the Gospel so people go to heaven, not hell.
Revelation 20:15 And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
Teaching a child about heaven is the first step. After kids know Christ as their Savior, the next step is equipping them to share the gospel with others. Let’s spread the Word so more people’s names fill the Lamb’s book of life!
