Christmas Family Night: Host a Happy Holiday Happening

4. Christmas Family Night Activities/Games

We kept all the activities and games casual and flexible to encourage interaction. On a game table, we set out Christmas board and card games, regular board games, and ugly sweater coloring sheets. We found a Christmas version of Monopoly, plus an ugly Christmas sweater card game.

For added fun, we set out supplies to make gingerbread houses. I found an awesome hack online, where you put the base house together using hot glue instead of icing. (You can’t eat the house at the end, but who does that anyway?) Recruit a few helpers. Also buy extra graham crackers. We purchased most of our candy at the dollar store.

5. Christmas Family Night Family Feud

The big event of our Christmas family night was a Family Feud game. We tried to make it as close to the real show as possible. We played knockout rounds, and at the end of five rounds, we awarded the winning family a gift card. Families were so excited that we’ll definitely bring this game back at future events.

We created a Family Feud presentation in ProPresenter. Here’s a link to purchase a template for creating your own game for your Christmas Family Night.
