4. Hand and Foot print card
Supplies needed:
White cardstock (12 x 18)
Paper plate
Paint safe for skin such as fingerpaint (IE: something washable)
Sharpie
Instructions:
For the hand and footprints: It’s easiest to put a small dollop of paint on a paper plate or something similar then press the plate up against your child’s hands and feet. Make sure to smooth the paint down using a paintbrush or your own hands so that it is covering an area on the plate large enough for your child’s hands and feet. You may need to add more paint with each application.
After you’ve covered one of your child’s hands (we recommend doing one hand at a time–don’t cover both in paint at the same time), press the hand onto the paper (see the picture for approximate placement. It may be easier to orient the paper upside down to get the proper placement). Repeat once more to make the heart shape with the other hand. Clean paint off your child’s hands before proceeding to the next step.
Use the paper plate to cover one of the child’s feet with paint and stamp footprint on the paper as shown in the picture.
Now carefully write the words “I love you from the bottom of my heart to the tips of my toes” on the paper with the sharpie.
