When I stepped into Children’s Ministry several years ago I knew one of the first things I needed was solid leadership coaching. At the time I had some great leaders around me that I could learn from. But what I didn’t have (and didn’t realize how much I needed) was a mentor that also served in the kidmin realm.
The times that I have had someone to mentor and coach me has been invaluable. Someone who’s been a little further down the road providing insight and perspective I simply didn’t have at the time. This year I’d like to give to someone else what others have generously given to me.
So, I’m launching a Leadership Coaching group beginning March 7, 2011. The group will consist of 6-8 kidmin leaders for a duration of 12 months. We will:
- Read one leadership book as a group each month
- Monthly 1 hour group meetings (via Skype) for book discussion and other relevant topics
- 30 minute individual meetings with me (via Skype) every other month
- Attend a retreat at Fort Bluff Camp, Dayton, TN September 16-18, 2011 (3days 2 nights)
The cost is minimal.
- $200/per participant
- Cost of travel expenses
- Cost of books (you will purchase your own copy of each book. New, used or Kindle is at your discretion.)
