8. Remember their BIRTHDAY.

Kids remember you when you remember their birthday. Remember, it’s the most important day of the year to a kid.

9. Attend their ACTIVITIES.

Whether kids invite you to a party, a game or a performance, it’s because they want you there. Your presence is a present in and of itself.

10. Take them OUT TO EAT.

Every kid loves to go out to eat, and every kid has a favorite restaurant. Take them out to eat for no specific reason and watch their face glow.

11. Visit them in their HOME.

Something special happens when kids you invest into at church see you standing on the doorstep of their home. It speaks value to them.

12. Invest in them PERSONALLY.

Kids don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. Let them know that they’re more than just a number in a class to you.

P.D. James said: “What a child doesn’t receive, he can seldom later give.”

Remember: What you invest today will yield a harvest tomorrow. If you make kids feel valued today, they’ll pay it forward one day into the lives of others.

Of these 12 ways of how to make a child feel loved, which is your favorite? Which are you the best at? What would you add to the list? I’d love to hear your feedback, so please leave a comment!
