Nobel Peace Prize, New Movie and a Magician? Meet Malala!

Malala Yousafzai is the Pakistani 2014 Nobel Peace Prize winner, author and spokesperson for educating girls around the world.

Most people know her story. In October 2012, she was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman who boarded her school bus and opened fire, also injuring two of her friends.

Her recovery was watched by many. When she was released from the hospital in January 2013, she was determined not to be silenced.

Malala is an inspiration to many. She was once an anonymous voice blogging about her experience for BBC as a schoolgirl in northern Pakistan under Taliban rule and her belief that all girls should be educated.

Now she is a widely respected activist and her powerful message is known worldwide in her book, I Am Malala and soon to be movie, He Named Me Malala.
