Bono & Eugene Peterson Discuss Their Love for the Psalms

Today, Fuller Seminary released a film of a recent conversation between two seemingly unlikely friends: Bono (lead singer of band U2) and Eugene Peterson (author of The Message translation of the Bible). The two gathered at Peterson’s scenic Montana home to discuss the impact the Psalms have had on their lives. They share about when they first started reading the Psalms and how they’ve grown to love this portion of God’s Word.

At one point, Bono explained how the Psalms push us to be more honest in our art, life and music.

Eugene Peterson shared about how the Psalms show us how to respond to the violence we find in the world.

We think watching this short film will likely be the best 20 minutes you spend this week.
