Little Jordan has decided to follow Jesus. So, it’s only natural that he would want to be baptized in his church, right?
It’s a good thing the camera was rolling for this little guy’s baptism, though, because he is very excited—even impatient—to be baptized. In fact, he surprises the minister by jumping the gun.
Let Jordan’s baptism remind us of what Scripture says about the significance of passing through the water: “And that water is a picture of baptism, which now saves you, not by removing dirt from your body, but as a response to God from a clean conscience. It is effective because of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.” (1 Peter 3:21, NLT)
Perhaps Jordan has a keen understanding of this truth, and therefore could not wait to experience the freedom in Christ awaiting him.
