To protect yourself from deepfakes, be extremely cautious when consuming content online, and always verify and only trust information from reputable sources. It is also recommended to implement a system of checks and balances, because deepfake videos can be hard to identify. For example, if you receive a video from your boss requesting highly sensitive information, it may be wise to reach out to him via a communication channel you’re accustomed to double check.
