CL: Tell us about the Red Carpet for Homeless event.
Moorman: We are very fortunate to have partnered with Missions across the country, and we believe it is a great way to kick off the release of Same Kind of Different as Me, as well as bring awareness and hope for the homeless across America. There are 150 missions that are putting on Red Carpet Events for the homeless to see the movie. October 18th is an amazing night that has come together in an incredible way!
CL: How would you encourage people to help the homeless?
Moorman: Don’t just give them money, but enter into a conversation that allows a relationship to happen. They are human beings who need emotional connection just as much as physical nourishment.
CL: What do you hope viewers will take away from the film?
Moorman: That Forgiveness is powerful, Hope is Beautiful, and Every Life Matters.
CL: What’s next for you?
Moorman: I’m very fortunate to have two other movies (Run the Race and Indivisible) that I’ve produced that will be released in 2018, and to also have a few other amazing stories that will make amazing movies (Northern Lights, Dog Whisperer, Through the Storm).
