Health Officials Uneasy About Recent Worship Protest in Nashville

Feucht also responded to Rolling Stone magazine’s article about him. On Instagram, the worship leader posted footage of L.A. Lakers fans celebrating the team’s Oct. 11 win against the Miami Heat and followed it with footage of the Nashville Let Us Worship gathering.

On the footage of the sports fans (most of whom seem to be wearing masks), Feucht included the text, “This is a celebration?” On the footage of his event, he added the text, “And this is criminal activity?” Feucht tagged Rolling Stone in the post, saying, “let me get this straight @rollingstone…(These events happened on the same night),” seeming to imply that the magazine had directly praised the actions of the sports fans while critiquing Feucht’s actions in Nashville.

While the magazine’s article about Feucht is certainly negative, there does not seem to be a Rolling Stone article directly comparing the Nashville gathering to the celebrating NBA fans. Notably, ESPN reported that while the celebration was “largely peaceful,” 76 people were arrested for charges that included vandalism and assaulting police. Feucht’s meaning appears to be made clear by a separate Instagram post, where he takes Rolling Stone’s silence on the celebration and ensuing disruption as an endorsement.
