“What a powerful weekend! Thousands upon thousands of teenagers were inspired, empowered and mobilized to take the Gospel to the streets of their own communities,” Stier said on Instagram. “From gritty urban streets to small town sidewalks to suburban shopping malls to boardwalks on the beach in snowstorms, rainstorms and sunshine countless thousands of teenagers from 1,300 churches went out to pray for, care for and share the Gospel with others in their own communities.”
Stier asked that people pray for teens “as they go back to reach their friends for Jesus and continue the conversations that started at Dare 2 Share Live.”
Stier posted a prayer on Instagram, which read:
“Dear Father in heaven, we pray for the teenagers who were trained last Saturday at #dare2sharelive. Give them boldness to carry on the Gospel conversations they started with their friends while at Live. Give them courage to start new Gospel conversations as they go back to school today. Help them to see their friends and classmates with the eyes of Jesus. Give them courage to bring the Gospel up, to sit at a different cafeteria table to build new relationships, and to challenge other Christian teens to join them in this great cause! Fuel them with the power of your Holy Spirit. Give them an equal mixture of boldness, wisdom and love. Give their youth leaders divine insight to know how to coach their teens to be more and more effective at living and giving the Gospel. Give these leaders holy grit to build Gospel-Advancing, disciple-multiplying, Jesus-glorifying youth ministries! Provide wisdom to @dare2shareministries to know how to rally and resource these youth leaders with the tools, insights and best practices they need for ongoing impact. Spark a revival through these teenagers and youth leaders for your glory that sweeps the nation and the world until ‘every teen everywhere hears the Gospel from a friend.’ In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen!”
Greg Stier: Unlikely Fighter
Stier released a book in November titled “Unlikely Fighter,” which details his story as a fatherless street kid who overcame violence, chaos and confusion to become a radical Christ follower. Almost illegally aborted by his mother, then growing up around an angry family, Stier tells the captivating story of how, at age eight, he met the Father that would never leave him or forsake him, an experience that would change his life for eternity.
The book has been endorsed by Sean McDowell, Derwin Gray, Samuel Rodriguez, Mark Batterson, Danielle Strickland, and Lee Strobel. Check it out here.
