One of Toggs’ photos showed a picture of her father preaching in the early days of his ministry. Toggs wrote these words underneath that photo:

I love this photo. This is my dad preaching in the early days of our church. He is a great one. After 50 years of ministry—he is taking a sabbatical this year and as his daughter, I am really glad about it. I pray he gets some rest and an opportunity to heal from much adversity he has faced. His greatest joy is to build the church…and I know that although today’s announcement comes with a mix of emotions for him—his best days are still ahead. Jesus is a kind, kind shepherd, and He has us. I’m looking forward to 2022. A year of grace and favor.

Toggs also recently released a video blasting the media on Instagram for their negative coverage of Hillsong, particularly surrounding their recent youth camp. “[I’m] mad at the media reports that made our youth camps last week not only a national disgrace, but an international news story.”

While telling people to turn off the news and turn to the Word of God, Toggs said, “I have watch the media willingly disregard any fairness for the sake of click-bait and to suit whatever profit they make off their agendas. It’s disgusting. It’s horrible. It’s immoral. It’s low. It’s defaming. It’s destroying good peoples lives one cheap headline at a time.”
