We Are Messengers Frontman Survives Car Accident–‘It’s a Miracle That I’m Alive’

“Come What May” is a single from the band’s album, “Wholehearted.” The song made the number one spot on Billboard’s Christian Airplay Chart on Jan. 24, a day that also marked the single’s eleventh week on the Mediabase Christian Audience Chart.

The lyrics of “Come What May” read in part:

In every high, in every low
On mountain tops, down broken roads
You’re still my rock, my hope remains
I’ll rest in the arms of Jesus
Come what may

Regarding the song’s success, Darren Mulligan said he felt “really thankful for that, but it dawned on me that I was just as thankful for the car accident that I had this morning because I see the goodness of God in that too. And what kind of man would I be writing songs called ‘Come What May’ if I didn’t live them out?”

Mulligan later posted a photo from the Greeley show, saying, “We did it. The enemy tried to take us out but we made it to [Greeley] Colorado and played the most wonderful show. God cannot be stopped and the Gospel will advance. Thank you to everyone who came out to the show and for all of your prayers. We felt every single one of them last night. Btw, I’m feeling good and home safely. No need to worry. Darren.”
