A Simple Worship Chorus on TikTok Results in 80 Million Impressions

Nichole handed Tait her business card and a sticker and told him that she was going to open for him someday. “You know what,” Tait said. “I love that.”

Although she had been a Christian her entire life, “I didn’t really find my faith until I was fifteen,” Nichole shared in an Instagram video. After her first surgery, “I got into the wrong crowd of people and that only fueled the depression I was battling. I felt like nobody understood my pain and there were moments where I questioned if I wanted to be on earth anymore.”

Nichole described how she felt and how God pursued her, saying, “I was angry and there were days I didn’t want to go on. But there was a voice that said, ‘I’m not done yet.’ And I held onto those words when I was breaking. For three years, I was having physical and mental pain. There were doctors who couldn’t help me, I was bullied for the way that my body looked, and I had no self-confidence. But every time I wanted to give up, God didn’t let me.”

After her second surgery, Nichole explained how “God brought the right people into my life and he started showing me that my story was important. God started using me for His glory. I became a worship leader and started writing songs that testify how good God is…God has given me a story and the ability to share it through this platform and the music I write. I praise Him everyday for that.”

On May 16, 2021, Nichole posted a video of her baptism and told the world that she is his, her life is his, her heart is his, and every word and action of hers is his. “I am nothing without Jesus,” she wrote.

Nichole told CCM Magazine, “This song is one of the greatest gifts God could ever give me. I want to be a good, faithful servant to the Lord. I’m just grateful to be his vessel.”
