Another person writes, “I would say the faster India stop importing its theology takes (esp obsessively invested in biblical manhood/womanhood) from America, the better. Subjugation of women using twisted scripture verses is the last thing we need here as a 2.5% christian minority in a 1.2billion nation.”
In response to someone’s question about how Christians can help, Ray writes, “Unfortunately there are no [domestic-violence advocacy] programs here, at least where I live. An elderly person has to interfere and talk to the husband and take care of the issue. You can’t just go to authorities and let everyone know, the abuse would be more when the wife comes back. It’s more complicated.”
