Hillsong Church’s scandals will be the subject of two docuseries, including “Hillsong: A Megachurch Exposed,” which is available to stream on Discovery Plus starting March 24. Interim global senior pastor Phil Dooley alleged that the series was produced to “hurt the church.”
“Our church is full of good people, doing their best to love Jesus and follow him, who are determined to grow in their faith and raise their family well and do their very best to make a positive contribution to the community they live in,” Dooley said.
In a recent teaching uploaded to the Hillsong Channel YouTube page, Collier said, “You gotta trust in [God] with everything within you. Do not lean to your own understanding in this moment.”
“When you trust, you have to be patient with Him to let Him guide you the right way,” Collier said. “Over time, your life starts to look different, and the plan you look back on, even now, you look back and you go, ‘Wow, I see what God was doing. I’m glad I trusted him.’”
