“A lot of times we go through stuff and we don’t realize that we serve a God who told peace to be still,” Boyce says. “God has kept me, and God is continuing to keep me in the storm where most people would just flip out and be in a whole ’nother place. God’s peace is my testimony.”
The pastor continued by thanking God for loaning Avante to him for 19 years. “Even in the valley, [God] has given me a peace,” he said, before closing his “Testimony Tuesday” post with prayer.
A GoFundMe page for the Boyce family describes Avante as “a loving Father and an aspiring Artist.” Family members ask for prayer, saying it’s “devastating” to lose a child, but they “know that the Lord has a plan.”
