OPINION: When 12,000 Evangelical Leaders Saturated Louisville, Was a Gospel Impression Left?

As we got ready to leave the city of Louisville, we thought back on one of the most impactful messages from the last three days. It was a sermon by David Platt titled “Come Together For the Sake of Those Without the Gospel.”

In it, Platt encouraged Christians to take the good news of Jesus to everyone in the world—especially unreached people groups. He explained that unreached people groups are those who have never heard the gospel, reminding us of how precious it is that we know the gospel when over 3 billion people in the world have never even heard its message.

Platt’s message was on Wednesday morning, day two of the conference, right before thousands of evangelicals descended upon the many restaurants in downtown Louisville. My heart ached as we drove off and I let that sink in.
