Both sisters then recited Psalm 23, with audience members joining in. According to The Tennessean, family members recited that same psalm over Naomi Judd’s body on Saturday afternoon.

The Country Music Hall of Fame canceled a “Red Carpet Experience” for Sunday but continued the induction “with heavy hearts.” Hall of Fame CEO Kyle Young expressed shock and sadness by news of the legend’s sudden passing, as did many fellow musicians. Sunday also marked the start of Mental Health Awareness Month.

The Grand Ole Opry held a moment of silence for Naomi Judd Saturday, tweeting, in part, “Her impact as an artist and human being will last forever. Our prayers for peace are with her family, friends, and fans.”
