Although that was a great coaching opportunity, it “wasn’t the easiest decision,” Drew admits. Not only was Baylor’s program a mess, but he and his wife, Kelly, had just moved into a new house, and she was pregnant with their first child. After much prayer, the couple decided that God was leading them to Waco. “Sometimes God calls us at the times when it doesn’t seem to make much sense,” the coach writes. “So we have to rely on him and seek his hand in all of it.”
How you handle both success and adversity speaks volumes about your faith, Drew tells The Christian Post. “Every day’s an adventure, and hopefully, you’re putting on the armor of God and doing the best you can in the short time on earth we have to make a difference and be a positive influence. And hopefully help bring as many people to Christ as possible.”
