Rep. Lauren Boebert Says She Prays for Biden’s Days To ‘Be Few’ and for Another To ‘Take His Office’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was also on the receiving end of some of Boebert’s jibes. Boebert joked that the chambers of the House of Representatives were kept at a frigid temperature “to preserve Nancy,” adding, “If it gets too warm, her eyebrows may melt and we won’t know how high inflation really is.”

In her speech, Boebert blamed the American church for failing to stand up to the government during the COVID-19 pandemic, resulting in people losing their jobs from medical mandates, children being masked, and churches being shut down. “We are supposed to direct government,” she said to cheers and applause. “Government is not supposed to direct the church.”

At one point while addressing cancel culture, Boebert referenced the gun control debate. She alluded to the first murder recounted in the Bible (Genesis 4) and said cancel culture is “nothing new” because Cain canceled Abel. “And guess what?” Boebert said. “It wasn’t with a big, scary AR-15. It was with a rock, so I don’t think it’s a firearm, I think it’s a heart, a sin issue.”

Boebert then commented that the “Twitter trolls” like to bring up Jesus in the gun control debate and will ask, “How many AR-15s do you think Jesus would’ve had?”

“Well,” said Boebert, “he didn’t have enough to keep his government from killing him.”

ChurchLeaders reached out to Rep. Lauren Boebert for comment specifically regarding how Boebert’s joke about Biden squares with her prior comments about the importance of respecting people. A spokesperson for Boebert referred ChurchLeaders to the following Instagram post “for context.” The post says, “I have filed articles of impeachment to ensure his days are FEW!”
