After the Golden State Warriors won their fourth NBA Championship title, guard Steph Curry gave God praise for the victory, saying, “God is great” and “I thank God every day that I get to play this game at the highest level with some amazing people.”

The athlete, who at times has written Philippians 4:13 on his shoes before games, has said that he sees his platform as an opportunity to “do good things for people and to point them towards the man who died for our sins on the cross.”

Evangelist Ray Comfort, however, has voiced the belief that Curry enjoys widespread public approval because the athlete avoids talking about the offensive parts of Christianity.
