On Facebook last week, Carter shared news of her victory, writing: “Thank You all for your PRAYERS … I GIVE JESUS all the Glory for this WIN.” In the comments, people thank the flight attendant for standing her ground and “holding fast to the truth.”
In a statement, Carter said, “Today is a victory for freedom of speech and religious beliefs. Flight attendants should have a voice, and nobody should be able to retaliate against a flight attendant for engaging in protected speech against her union.”
On social media yesterday, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee wrote: “Congratulations to Texan Charlene Carter for winning a great victory for free speech and religious freedom.” Another post about Carter’s case proclaims: “Freedom of speech is cleared for takeoff!”
