Candace Cameron Bure Responds to JoJo Siwa’s Accusation That She Is the ‘Rudest Celebrity’

“And I kind of broke your 11-year-old heart,” Bure told her. “I didn’t take a picture with you…I feel crummy…JoJo, I’m so sorry.” Bure said that as a mom it “breaks my heart” that she made Siwa feel that way. Bure apologized as well to Siwa’s mother as well, saying that when people mistreat her children, “momma bear comes out.”

Bure said Siwa accepted her apology and told her it was not a big deal. The two expressed their appreciation for each other and shared their “joy for one another in that we are both positive, encouraging people,” said Bure.

So everything is “all good on the JoJo front,” Bure said. “There’s no drama. That’s the tea.”

“We all influence the people around us,” Bure observed. “I think the lesson that we can learn is to be mindful that, no matter how many followers you have, even a 10-second trending TikTok video can do damage because our words matter and our actions matter.”

As she wrapped up her video, Bure told her viewers, “If you’ve ever personally run into me and I was not the person you were hoping for or expecting, I just want to say, I’m sorry.” She explained that people often request photos with her, as well as her autograph. Most of the time, she loves to oblige, but she’s still human, and “sometimes you have bad days.”

Bure concluded, “All is good. Let’s just move on.”
