The media and many universities ignore evidence for God and maintain that science and the Bible are at odds. But in reality, says Metaxas, “the Christian faith gave us modern science.” Followers of Jesus must be bold and reject lies and propaganda, he says, rather than being polite and just trying to get along. In this “paradigm-shifting moment in the world,” faith is empowering and must be shared.

To wrap up the discussion, Cooper and Metaxas talk about all truth being God’s truth. “There no Christian truth,” says Metaxas. “It’s either true or it’s false.” Because Jesus is truth and created “reality,” we can’t separate out so-called “religious” truth. “I want to convert people to reality,” Metaxas says.

The author urges Christians not to “participate in our own marginalization.” Because Americans have religious liberty, “we need to understand it, and we need to vote for candidates who understand it.” Although we have work to do, he says, all is good. “It’s why the Lord put us here.”
