“Right,” said Stuckey. “With China in charge.”
“Yeah exactly,” Baucham responded.

“Christians are the only ones who are told to check their worldview at the door before they vote, before they teach,” said Stuckey. “Secular progressivism is not neutral. It’s what characterizes our curriculum, it’s what characterizes much of our legislation today, it’s what characterizes corporate policy today. It’s not neutral.”
When Christians push back on the agendas society is forcing on them, said Stuckey, they get told that they are promoting Christian nationalism. But somehow the same is not true when Georgia’s gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams, Vice President Kamala Harris, or President Biden “invoke the Bible.”
Baucham agreed, mentioning Rev. Raphael Warnock, who is running against Herschel Walker for a U.S. Senate seat in the state of Georgia. Warnock is pro-choice and the senior pastor of the historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta. Baucham also brought up California governor Gavin Newsom’s decision to put Mark 12:31, which says, “‘Love your neighbor as yourself,” on pro-abortion billboards as part of his re-election campaign.
These candidates on the political left are using the Bible to push their beliefs just as much as candidates on the right. “For a generation,” said Baucham, “any time you speak up, it’s, you know, ‘separation of church and state, separation of church and state’…and it bothered me so much.”

Christians should not hesitate, said Baucham, to use the Bible to make arguments against abortion or same-sex marriage, especially in light of the fact that left-leaning politicians are now “using the Bible unapologetically…with no shame at all in order to advance these ungodly ideologies.”
