Weber, who started Embrace in 2006, has seen it grow from 32 people to multiple locations that reach thousands of worshipers weekly. Embrace also has a strong online presence, which the pastor insists is crucial for reaching young people today. Not being on social media is akin to “saying you’re not willing to speak their language,” he said in a 2017 interview.
