Dallas Jenkins addressed the uproar over the Season 3 trailer, saying that the line was not a quote from The Book of Mormon and that it is in fact “theologically plausible.”
Even though “The Chosen” is free, Jenkins has said that when people pay to see the episodes in theaters, they are doing a service to everyone who puts in the time and effort to create the series. “People who buy tickets are actually helping the show,” he said. “Thank you for buying tickets because that’s helping…and that’s allowing this show to be free. If people didn’t pay…there wouldn’t be a show.”
