Regarding whether his father escalated the situation by calling Cappabianca a “tyrant,” Rizutti Jr. says:
We have the right as Americans to practice our rights, and should be able to tell an out of line public servant when he is acting inappropriate, and also be able to request a superior officer to the scene without fear of our church and family being attacked, children traumatized, and pregnant women physically assaulted…not to mention the false charges and lack of reprimands within the local department. In fact, the aggressive officer was promoted to [sergeant] shortly after the incident as the investigating officer of our complaint found no fault on the aggressive officer in question.
He concludes, “We are just grateful that the Lord has been with us through it all.”
