After tWitch’s Death, Kirk Franklin Urges Followers To Check on Loved Ones

“I’m going to tell what really helps me,” said Franklin. “What really helps me, especially during the holiday season is that the community that I have around me, that knows what I go through and have always been there for me, man, is that they check on me.” He urged viewers not to stop at superficial questions, even if people feel that they are being annoying. Franklin said his closest friends “check on me, they want to see how I’m doing during the holidays and they ask me real questions. I want to encourage you…to get on people’s nerves.”

One user responded to Franklin, “Yes!!!!! The surface level questions/check in will not get the job done!! We’ve got to be more intentional & get out of our own comfort zones.” Others lamented how difficult it is at times to know how people are truly doing. Another user said, “I miss my momma getting on my nerves. She said she would sense it in her spirit that I was down. She would pester me until I answered the phone. Now she’s gone but I’m holding on. Depression has destroyed my life but I’m going to keep on trying to fight it. R.I.P Twitch. Prayers to his family.”

Franklin extended his prayers to Boss’ family and to his own followers. “Get on somebody’s nerves today,” he repeated. “Check in on them. See how they doing. It makes a difference that you cannot imagine.”
