Although salvation is “enough to guarantee our place in eternity with Christ,” Gifford adds that faith-growth via studying is key. “I don’t mean studying in a way that’s exhausting,” she says. “It’s thrilling. It makes your gut come alive in you. There’s a fire that burns in you.”

Gifford, who interviewed Christian celebrities for her Fox Nation series “The Jesus I Know,” encourages parents to teach children “from day one that God and his Son and his Holy Spirit are your best friend, the best friend you will ever make.” Biblical literacy is essential so young people don’t let the world define them, she adds. “Teach [kids] how God defines them as a living, breathing, precious creation of God.”
