“I had the privilege of knowing Pastor Jack Hayford. He was a humble, godly man. He was very ‘Kingdom-minded’ as well,” wrote Southern California pastor Greg Laurie. “He was a great supporter of our Crusade in LA. He was loved by many and will be missed, He has now gone to join his beloved wife, Anna in Heaven.”
North Carolina pastor Bryan Loritts wrote, “Saddened by the passing of this great man of God, Pastor Jack Hayford. A godly man full of integrity. And one of the pastors who was front and center helping to bring healing to Los Angeles in the aftermath of the Rodney King riots.”
“Early this morning, my dear friend Pastor Jack Hayford went home to be with Jesus. He was 88 years old and was a pastor, teacher, servant, and man of God,” wrote Texas pastor Robert Morris, whose church had partnered with Hayford in the expansion of The King’s University. “For me personally, he was my mentor and spiritual father, and I am so grateful for his influence in my life.”

Hayford, who lost his wife of more than 60 years, Anna, to pancreatic cancer in 2017, is survived by his second wife, Valarie, and his four children: Rebecca, Jack, Mark, and Christa.
