‘Pioneer Woman’ Ree Drummond’s Children’s Sermon Has a Lesson Church Leaders Should Take to Heart

“What does all of this have to do with anything?” she asked. “I don’t know. I forgot. Just kidding.”

“Basically,” Drummond continued, “I was saying that the things you hear as a child when you’re young are written forever on your mind, in your heart, in your soul.” Drummond said she can’t remember what happened yesterday, last week, or last month, but she and the members of her congregation clearly remember the advertising slogans they heard as children. What we learn as children sticks with us for years. That way, she joked, “When you’re a washed up, middle aged 54-year-old like me, you can just pull it up like that.”

Drummond concluded, “I guess that this is what I’m going to do with my life now that all my children have just completely, rudely left me. I’m going to do children’s sermons every week on Instagram.“
