“Jesus Revolution” is based on the life of Greg Laurie, pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, and tells how he came to faith amid the Jesus People Movement of the 60s and 70s. The film stars Kelsey Grammer as Chuck Smith and Jonathan Roumie as Lonnie Frisbee, both of whom were leaders in the movement. “Jesus Revolution” surpassed box office expectations, earning over $40 million domestically 19 days after opening in theaters.
