Disgraced Former Pastor James MacDonald Charged With Attacking a 59-Year-Old Woman After Fender-Bender

MacDonald’s next court date in California is scheduled for June 14.

Under MacDonald’s leadership, Harvest Bible Chapel grew from a gathering of 18 people meeting at a local high school to a congregation of over 13,000 across multiple campuses. He was fired on Feb. 13, 2019, by the church’s elders for behavior “contrary and harmful to the best interests of the church.”

Following his firing, the former pastor filed multiple lawsuits against those he claims made false accusations against him, including Harvest Bible Chapel. He believes those allegedly false accusations led to him being fired as the church’s senior pastor.
