Jamie Thomas said he has been “educating” the church for six weeks and that he would be back every Sunday until Blanchard’s face was on a mugshot, implying that this would happen after the pastor’s June court date. “That’s what happens when you mess with kids,” said Thomas. “Good people stand up against you.”

The activist described Blanchard’s alleged crimes through his megaphone and chastised the church for “being Satan supporters,” telling Blanchard, “You’re a sick man. You’re no man of God. You’re the man of Satan himself.”

Toward the end of the video, Thomas can be heard talking to a woman in a car offscreen who said she “never heard” about the allegations against Blanchard. Thomas encouraged her to google the charges, and she thanked him before driving away. The activist told his viewers the woman showed that his attempts at educating people about Blanchard were having an effect.

At the end of the video, three police officers arrived and handcuffed Thomas before the service let out. The Virginian-Pilot reports Thomas was released on his own recognizance. In the comments on his video, he wrote, “We are good. Be back next Sunday.”

He told his channel later that he had not spent any time in a jail cell and that Blanchard had filed two warrants for his arrest, claiming that Thomas was stalking and threatening people, allegations the activist denies. At the present time, Thomas says he is simply required to stay off church property, that he will continue protesting Sunday morning, and that he plans to file a civil lawsuit against Blanchard and Rock Church.

Rock Church has a statement posted on its website declining to comment on the allegations against Blanchard under the advice of its attorneys.
