“American Idol” posted a video of Danielle’s performance on its Facebook page, and the fans went wild with likes and comments. More than 11,000 likes and another thousand comments accompany the video of Danielle singing “Go Rest High on That Mountain.” Many shared their own stories of losing a loved one and how this particular song brings comfort.
“One of my FAV Idols is Megan Danielle. Her voice is so very unique and spiritual and she gives me chills when she sings,” a commenter named Kathie wrote. “She’s singing the song, (Go Rest High on that Mountain), I played for the ending of my Mom’s funeral in 2016 by Vince Gill. I played that song on my Mom’s pillow on rewind her final days to let her know it was ok to finally go… 😢❤️ – I miss you Mom. I will listen to Megan’s songs ANYTIME!”
