“Praying,” said professor and speaker, Dr. Christina Crenshaw. “I imagine I speak for a multitude when I say no contemporary pastor or theologian has impacted my faith like Dr. Timothy Keller. He is a legend and will be remembered as such. Thank you, sir, for your unwavering commitment to your family, the Church, and our Lord.”

Dr. Joy Qualls, Associate Professor of Communication Studies at Biola University, said, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of one of his Saints. Rest well, dear brother.”

Keller’s death even drew a tribute from former president George W. Bush, who said: 

Tim Keller was one of America’s foremost Christian thinkers and preachers. He was a great church builder, a prolific author, and a profound philosopher. I’m fortunate to have gotten to know him. And I’m one of many who is blessed to have learned from Dr. Keller’s teachings and benefited from his compassion. Laura and I wish Kathy and their children peace.

Keller is survived by his wife, Kathy, and their three children, David, Michael, and Jonathan.
