In an Instagram post last week, Danielle wrote: “I’m still trying to wrap my head around making [it] into the finale. … Thank you, Jesus for these incredible opportunities! My heart is full!”
Online, Danielle describes herself as “a Christian Singer/Songwriter just trying to share the love of Jesus!” While waitressing and trying to launch her music career, Danielle became disillusioned with performing in bars. She credits her now-deceased grandfather with encouraging her to “sing for God.” On “Idol” this season, Danielle sang Vince Gill’s “Go Rest High on That Mountain” in her grandfather’s honor.
