“This Super Bowl was the most watched football game of all time,” Butker said of February’s game. “Yet all of this happiness is temporary, and the truth is, none of these accomplishments mean anything compared to the happiness I have found in my marriage and in starting a family.”

The athlete added, “My confidence as a husband and father, and yes, even as a football player, is rooted in my marriage with my wife, as we leave our mark on future generations by the children we bring into the world. How much greater of a legacy can anyone leave than that?”

Norma Hunt, KC Chiefs Matriarch, Dies

In other Chiefs news, team matriarch Norma Hunt has died at age 85. She was the widow of Lamar Hunt, the team’s founder and former owner.

Norma Hunt, known as The First Lady of Football, attended every single Super Bowl and is credited with coming up with the name for the big game. Her son Clark Hunt, the team’s current co-owner, said his mother was “kind, generous, and unfailingly positive” and “always had an encouraging word.” He added, “Her quiet yet deep faith sustained her throughout her life, and we take great comfort knowing that she is home with the Lord.”
